First, I wanted to create something from one of my many adventures playing role-playing games. With these games, I can create my own story based on a world and characters already settled but, what if I take my own actions and experiences in these games and put it in my own story? My own world? So, this is one of the many adventures I've lived in this media and I'm gonna start my tale based on this: Apart from this "inspirational" material, I've been working on the world building of the fantasy world in which I want my story to be based: Structure of my story: Beggining: There is no clear explanation of the origin of the main character. He is a traveler arriving at one of the main cities of Yharnm. Middle: It is explained the origin of the worlds and what may lie beyond. End: It is not defined yet. Media: I'm planning to draw on Youtube to give a visual idea of how some events of the story are going to deve...
An abandoned city? Just five words: run and don’t look back. This is like those horror movies where the characters open a door they shouldn’t, well the same here, and we know how this ends.
ResponderBorrarI noticed that you like describing settings, it is fascinating because it is easier to paint the image in my head. Are you influenced by any author that does the same?
You did a book *claps* but hey!!! I was expecting more images even if you were very descriptive lol. But cool anyway.
I want to know more about that place! I wonder if it is the remains of an ancient civilization or if he could entered to another dimension...
ResponderBorrarYep. This tale became more and more Lovecraftnian as I was writing it. If you read "At the mountains of madness" you'll find that I took a lot from that tale. Reading it was a life changing moment for me and I would love to see more literature, movies and games based on this work. You should read it!
ResponderBorrarAbout the description on my writing, I think you are right. I struggled a lot with this because while doing it I realized that I need to learn more vocabulary. I'm still a couple of worlds ahead form the use of language that Lovecraft or Tolkien were capable of. But also, I got motivated by writing this. I'll keep reading and studying.
